Covered 57kms today through rolling hills in 4hrs of riding time. Went through a nasty construction site for about 10kms where there was no where for us bike but in the loose sand - not ideal with fully loaded bikes! Found a nice river coming down from the mountains to the Lake where we filled up our water stores and met this American dude who is in the process of biking Russia East to West. He started in Beijing 2 months ago and has already covered 2000 miles! Good on him for doing it by himself because it must be extremely lonely at times in these dense Siberian woods. Per usual we found a camp spot off the hwy in the woods, but this time as well as the bugs, the ticks seem to be out in full force too!!
