June 10th - "Beautiful Lake Views" - 5km past Slyudyanka to Bajkal'sk

Low on food so had some Nutella for breakfast followed by a multivitamin for dessert.  Body is tired today and could use some calories, but will, need to keep pushing on to find that.  Low on water as well so was happy to find water access not too far from where we camped.  A man stopped and gave us two oranges and two tomatoes and told us that he had biked 4000km from Magadan to Kazakstan which is absolutely crazy - Ali proceeded to eat the two tomatoes like you would an apple - yuck!  Today has been a good morale boost as there has been beautiful lake views and the swarm of bugs that were traveling around my head for all the previous days seem to have disappeared.  After the small town of Ytyank where we weren't too interested in stopping we hit Bajkal'sk where we just so happened to find a hotel.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a large sign saying Roctnhnya with an arrow pointing to this beautiful chalet near the town's ski hill....and before I knew it we were in our own private room with a wonderful looking bed. They only had eggs in the kitchen so we had an omelette for dinner and then started a laundry factory in the bathroom and hit the hay.
